Please Come Back, I Miss you.

“How did Ma look?”

“Beautiful,” said Papa looking at his phone photo gallery as a tear escaped his cheek. That was the last picture he had of her, a selfie she has sent.

He picked up his phone and dialled her number. After a few rings, it went on a voice message; he silently heard her voice and closed his eyes tight as another tear came rolling down.

He sadly looked at his son who had made a complete mess of his clothes while eating and was now standing in front of him. “Papa, I want to go to the potty,” said the little one.

He quietly placed him on the potty seat and looked at her picture on his phone again. He shook his head in distress and cupped his forehead with his palms. Suddenly the phone rang and he picked without missing a second. “Are you ok?” the voice from the other end came.

“I know, it’s not fair. I should be able to cope with this situation but I cannot.” He was almost in tears again.

“What is wrong? Is everything alright? Is the little one, ok?”

“He is driving me crazy; I don’t know how you do it all the time. I know it’s your friends’ day out today but I need you. Please come back home as soon as you can.” He said to his dear wife.
